Mitchell's Dance Studio Policies
We will follow the City of Beverly's Snow Emergency Parking Ban when it comes to weather cancellations.
All our classes are canceled when Beverly places a parking ban due to inclement weather.
We may also need to cancel classes at other times. Please be sure that we have the
correct phone number where you can be reached on the day(s) of your lesson(s) in case we need to cancel.
No food or drinks (other than water) are allowed in the studio rooms. Water containers must be covered
(no cups or glass bottles).
There will no longer be any drop-in classes. Students must register to ensure a space in the class.
Due to social distancing restrictions, no more than six students will be allowed per class.
A Non-refundable Registration Fee of $15.00 ($25.00/ 2 or more siblings) will be collected at the time of
your initial registration.
All checks must be made payable to Mitchell’s Dance Studio.
Venmo payments must be paid to @mitchellsdancestudio.
A 5% discount is given if the tuition for the whole year is paid in full, on or before the 1st lesson.
You will be responsible for replacing the payment (plus a $10 service charge) on any returned checks.
After the 2nd returned check, all future payments must be made with a certified check or cash only.
A $10.00 Late fee will be applied to all payments that are made late.
All tuition payments are non-refundable.
It is considered an absence if a student is not present, is not wearing appropriate dance wear/footwear,
sits out of class for 15 minutes or more because of injury or illness, arrives 15 minutes or more late, or must
leave 15 minutes or more before the end of class. If a student is “absent” for 2 classes in a row, a make-up
lesson may be scheduled at the private lesson cost of $20.00 per ½ hour. A student may not be allowed back
to class until this make-up lesson is taken.
The following dress code will be in effect for each particular class:
WED. 3 & 4 CLASS – Leotard and tights, or if paired with capri length leggings, dance shorts and/or dance
skirts is fine. Pink ballet slippers, tie or strap tap shoes.
WED. 5 & 6 CLASS – Leotard and tights, or if paired with capri length leggings, dance short and/or dance
skirts are fine. Pink ballet slippers, tie or strap tap shoes.
WED. 7 & 8 CLASS – Leotard and tights, or if paired with capri length leggings, dance shorts and/or dance
skirts is fine. Pink SPLIT-SOLE ballet slippers, strap tap shoes. Black split-sole jazz shoes are optional for
9 & up BALLET – Leotard and tights. Pink split-sole ballet slippers.
9 & up JAZZ – Leotard or tank top. Bottoms may be worn, but must be a dance skirt or wrap, exercise shorts,
or capri length pants – no exceptions, no full length pants!! Black split-sole jazz shoes.
9 & up TAP – Same as Ballet.
9 & up HIP HOP –Clothing must me movable. Black dance sneakers much be purchased prior to the spring
Shoe styles, other than those mentioned above, will not be allowed for class or in the recital.
Please be sure to clearly label all shoes and belongings!!
The Studio has been taped out into six foot individual squares. Students must remain inside this box for the duration of the class.
If you are taking more than one class, you must stay in the same square for all classes.
Facial masks are required at all times.
We have designated the waiting room door as the entrance and the smaller "A frame" door as the exit.
Upon entering the Studio, utilize hand sanitizer station located at the bottom of the stairs when both entering and exiting the Studio.
Individual hand sanitizer bottles and disinfectant wipes are available to sanitize any high touch surfaces such as chairs, railings and door knobs. The bathrooms are closed. Please consider this before entering the Studio.
No visitors are permitted. Only the students taking the class enter the building.
One chair per student will be available for personal belongs and street shoes.
